The Rotary Club of Mineral Wells has chosen to serve our community by delivering nutritious meals on the designated Fridays to elderly and disabled individuals in our community. We encourage members of our club to sign up for at least two Friday's during the year to deliver meals. Additional information about our Meal On Wheels of Palo Pinto Co partners can be found by calling them at 940-325-7919 or visiting their Facebook page.

Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14 to 18. The Mineral Wells High School Interact Club is sponsored by the Rotary club of Mineral Wells. Our Rotarians are encouraged to attend these meetings.
Each year, Interact Clubs around the world complete a minimum of two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill. Through these efforts, members of Interact develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of:

Children's Alliance Center (CAC)

https://www.cacpalopinto.org/ Sheree has served as the Executive Director at the Children's Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County since July of 2023. In 2012, she began a collaboration with four other women to establish and attain the 501(c)(3) status for the center. Sheree previously served on the Board of Directors as President, Vice President, and Secretary. In 2018, she resigned from the Board and went to work for the CAC as the Outreach Specialist shortly after she began filling the role as MDT Coordinator up until the summer of 2023. Prior to serving at the Children's Alliance Center for Palo Pinto County, Sheree served as a CASA Advocate for Palo Pinto County for over nine years. She was Advocate of the Year in 2017 and enjoyed her time working for the children and families who come from hard places. Sheree and her husband, J.R., have three children who have blessed them with eight grandchildren. In her spare time, Sheree enjoys cookouts in the backyard with a house full of family and friends.

CASA Hope for Children

https://casahopeforchildren.org/ Monica has been with CASA since August of 2012. She has circulated through many positions at the CASA office and has enjoyed learning so much through her transitions. She has been the Program Director since 2016 and continues to provide guidance to the staff as well as the volunteers. She is married to her husband of 12 years who is a First responder in Mineral Wells. They have two young boys who keep them very busy with sports throughout the year. She has always enjoyed working with children and works diligently through the CASA program to advocate for the children in our community. |

Mike Weaver was a nearly 23 year employee of the US Environmental Protection Agency. Now retired, he serves as the Environmental Advocate for District 5790 of Rotary International and as a member of the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (https://esrag.org/) As a proponent of electric vehicles, Mike devotes time to research and has written a book, “Gas vs Electric Cars: What's In Your Future.” He works with local high schools to recycle lithium-ion devices sending them to Redwood Materials in Nevada for processing: https://www.redwoodmaterials.com/ Mike, as a member of the Pilot Knob Rotary Club in Denton, TX, also spearheaded 3 pollinator garden projects for two non-profits and and assisted living center. He is also a singer/musician in a band featuring bluegrass and pop tunes. |
