Of note is the recent UIL One-Act Play competition at Kennedale High School involving 16 MWHS students – actors and production crew. Their production of "Medea" earned the several awards including Cassidy Davila, Sara Cordova and Christian Weise as "Best Sound Crew" for their use of live and original music; Zoe Snow, Mekayla Lancaster and Amber Blackwood selected Honorable Mention All-Star Cast for their roles as Medea's Savage Chorus; and the top honor of "Best Actress" awarded to Siobhan Anderson for her portrayal of Medea.

He said MWHS troupe placed fourth out of eight plays, earning the title of Alternate Play. A public performance of Medea is March 24 at 7 p.m. in the Mineral Wells High School Auditorium.
