Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County have a lot of places and attractions for tourists and visits to see and do. Being sure people in Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County know that continues to be one of the many focuses of the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber’s Tourism Director Rose McCombs Jordan, above left, visited Rotary Club of Mineral Wells on Wednesday to bring members up to date on the chamber’s current tourism efforts and tout many of the local attractions that aren’t just for visitors to visit. But the key is being able to tell visitors, when asked, what there is to do, see and where to go. She is pictured with club President Tonya Gary.

Rose said one of the things that is beginning to pay for the area is Mineral Wells’ designation a couple of years ago as an official Film Friendly Texas community. That is bringing various film crews and projects to town, including one that is currently filming in and around Mineral Wells.

To familiarize yourself with many of the local and area destinations, shops and restaurants, visit https://visitmineralwells.org/things-to-do/. The worst thing – and false thing – to tell someone visiting Mineral Wells is there is nothing to do. There is much to do and see, so much so that Rose it would take someone a couple of days or several weekends to see and do it all.

Rotary Club of Mineral Wells meets every Wednesday at noon at Southside Church of Christ. Meetings are for club members, prospective members and invited guests.
