Plethora of books donated

 

As part of its literacy program, Rotary Club of Mineral Wells each week has its guest speaker sign a book that is then donated to a local school library. Rotary had a lot of guests this week, in the form of Mineral Wells High School junior Michael Riggins, who won the club's 2016 Four-Way Speech Contest, and members of Travis Elementary School's Gateway Club. All signed books that will be donated to the high school and Travis school libraries. Pictured with the books donated this week are Rotary's literacy chair Connie Ball, Travis Elementary Librarian Cathy Hammond and club president Mary Braddock. Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at noon at Holiday Hills Country Club for lunch, fellowship, project updates and a program. Come join us.
