Meals on Wheels of Palo Pinto County drove into the Rotary Club of Mineral Wells' meeting on Wednesday, May 4, to deliver the week's program.

Meals on Wheels of Palo Pinto County is a nonprofit organization that provides nutritious meals for homebound seniors and disabled individuals in Mineral Wells and other communities throughout the county. Meals on Wheels helps combat the hunger and isolation experienced by so many seniors and others who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Home-delivered meals allows individuals who need assistance to remain independent in their own homes, where they want to be, for as long as possible.

Local Rotarians deliver a route every Friday.

The agency's Second Annual Casino Night fundraiser is Friday, May 13, at Holiday Hills Country Club beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the event is $25 in advance and $30 at the door, and includes hors d’oeuvres, $5 in chips, and a chance to win a great door prize.
