Famous Water Company co-owner Carol Elder, pictured on the right with Rotary Club President Karyn Bullock, was Wednesday’s guest speaker, giving Rotarians a preview of the upcoming 41st Annual Crazy Water Festival on the weekend of Oct. 8-9.

Plans for this year’s festival are going full-steam ahead. Carol said sponsorships are up along and vendor booth reservations are very strong.

This year’s festival will kick off with the traditional Friday night Crazy Car Cruz through town. That will be followed by a concert at Texas Frontier Trails’ Western Heritage Park featuring Kevin Fowler and Mark Powell. Carol said tickets for the Friday night concert, beginning at 7 p.m., are limited and going fast. Purchase concert tickets online at https://crazyconcert2021.eventbrite.com/.

Saturday’s festival will begin at 9 a.m. in the streets around the Famous Water Pavilion and Crazy Water bottling plant west of North Oak Avenue. There is a chip-timed Crazy 5K event at 8:30 a.m. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/MineralWells/Crazy5K.

Festival admission is $4, or $1 off for each donated non-perishable food item.

Along with lots of vendors, food and drinks, there will be the annual Crazy Car Show, Children’s Area, live music throughout the day, the bier garten in the Famous Water Pavilion garden, and a Crazy Crawl event downtown after the festival. Purchase crawl tickets at https://crazycrawl2021.eventbrite.com/.

Additionally, there will be a soft opening of some of the new retailers in the Crazy Water Plaza, including the Crazy Water and Coffee Bar that will be operated by Famous Water Company, using the original Crazy Water bar in the pavilion.

Thank you, Carol, for attending Wednesday’s meeting and telling us about the upcoming festival. It promises to be a great day celebrating all things Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County.

Rotary Club of Mineral Wells meets every Wednesday at noon at Southside Church of Christ with lunches catered by Sadie’s Eats. Meetings are for club members, prospective members and invited guests.
