the US Marine Corps.  A very informative presentation that ended with the birthday tradition of the oldest Marine present passing a piece of cake to the youngest Marine present, just as for years experienced Marines have nurtured and led young Marines that will fill their ranks and renew the Corps.  It was a very moving ceremony in which the cake was sliced with a Mameluke Sword.
 
The Marine Corps recently celebrated 247 years of service to its nation on November 10th.
