Angie Cox selected 2026-2027 District 5790 governor
The District Nominating Committee this past week announced that Angie Cox has been selected as District 5790 Governor 2026-2027.
Angie is a long-time member of Lewisville Noon Rotary, where she served as club president in 2006-07. She has also served on the club Board of Directors in a number of capacities over the years, currently as Grants Chair. In that role, Angie implemented food pantries in ten Lewisville ISD schools to feed children living with food insecurity.
Angie was Assistant Governor for clubs in South Denton County and used her professional experience in Sales and Business Management to provide training and organizational development while maintaining open communication and increasing membership. She has also worked closely with the District 4-Way Test Speech Competition.
Angie is a licensed Escrow Officer with Allegiance Title and owns her own business, Cox Cleaning. She has served as a trustee on the Lewisville ISD School Board, including a term as Board President.
Angie is active in a number of nonprofits in the South Denton area, including Women of Flower Mound, Keep Flower Mound Beautiful, and her local PTA. In addition, she is president of the board of Journey to Dream, a Denton County nonprofit that works to embrace, equip, and empower homeless, hurting, and at-risk teens to achieve recovery, overcome adversity, and live purposeful lives.
"Congratulations to Angie! We look forward to working with her as she prepares to lead the District during Rotary Year 2026-2027." -- Pat Peters, Rotary 5790 District Governor
When posts are made to our public Facebook and Instagram sites, please like and share them across your social media networks.
Doing so allows us to spread our reach, impact and help grow membership, support and sponsors. Your network of followers is different than another member's network reach, which is different than the next person's. Their likes and shares expands our reach exponentially.
FOR EXAMPLE, we recently posted about the flag barn workday and used it as an opportunity to encourage Mineral Wells residents to subscribe or renew their subscriptions. That item currently has just SEVEN likes (only one by a current club member) and THREE shares (two by club members, one share to our private Facebook page).
It is the responsibility and expectation of all club members to help promote Rotary and our club, and the easiest, simplest way you can do that is by simply liking and sharing social media posts to your page and followers.
Thanks, and we hope to see club members doing their part to promote and spread the good news of Rotary Club of Mineral Wells.
